Glencoe Lochan Elopement, a great choice to have an intimate wedding
Glencoe Lochan – A very beautiful hidden off-the-road pocket near Glencoe village was the place of choice for an intimate wedding in Scotland by Rachael and Tom. With breathtaking views over the Loch, mountains in the distance, and an amazing forest walk, Glencoe Lochan is a perfect spot for an intimate wedding in Scotland.
The Bride and Groom and closest family came from Wales to Scottish Highlands to get married. I found it interesting as Wales has so many beautiful spots to offer. In my opinion, it’s a strong contender to Scotland in a beauty contest. Nonetheless, Rachael and Tom decided to elope all the way to Glencoe Lochan. It makes me a bit proud that Scotland is worth all the hassle for couples, even if they live in no less beautiful places in the world. They accommodated with close family members by the River Lochy in a cosy cottage house in Fort William. Fort William is a touristy, large town with plenty of Airbnb, all shops needed, and easy road access to Glencoe lochan. it’s about a half-hour drive over A82 main road drive. In the summer season, the road can be busy at the time, consider leaving Fort William a bit earlier to be on time for the wedding ceremony.
Rachel and Tom Ceremony
Elopement Wedding – It means you dictate the rules how your wedding will be like. Just because couples elope, it doesn’t mean they have to do it alone. For Racheal and Tom, a close family was e a big part of no doubt, a big day for them. Closest, love ones can be a great emotional support at your wedding as it was at Glencoe Lochan Elopement.
The ceremony was simple but very beautiful. It was clear, that part will be emotional to everyone. But with amazing support from their loved ones, Rachael and Tom went smoothly through the ceremony with laughs and tears. Scotland spoiled us with a perfect day. Just a few clouds in the distance, the sun gently kissing skin, and a mild, warm afternoon. Just a perfect wedding day with lovely humans around. The universe was in love with Racheal and Tom. And me too. It was such a joy to document the wedding ceremony part with the whole family. I just love my work as a wedding and elopement photographer!
I should mention how nice and simple was Rachael’s wedding outfit and flowers. Starting from the wedding dress, kind of boho bride style – simple but lovely, paired with high sole Dr. Martens boots. A perfect match for the later Glencoe Lochan elopement wandering. Fresh flowers wedding bouquet and headband from Studio Seapink was a beautiful addiction.
After the emotional wedding ceremony, the bride and groom’s family drive back to Fort William. I and a just married couple went for a little elopement adventure around the Glencoe Lochan. It was a wonderful time. Rachael and Tom enjoyed being just married. Beautiful, sunny evening Glencoe Lochan Elopement. We had plenty of time. No rush, no traditional wedding anxiety, no pushing. Me, as an elopement photographer, the extra fifth wheel, was chasing the light as usual. We were wandering in the forest, discovering nature, listening to the singing birds. Just stopping to rest, enjoy the day, or taking photos. Rachael and Tom were occasionally guided by me. Even infameus migets were kind to us in this lovely, calm elopement day at Glencoe Lochan.
