Cairngorms Intimate Wedding – spend elopement night in Rothiemurchus Lodge Stay
Jade and Jamie’s intimate Cairngorm wedding by Rothiemurchus was a bit special. Very cool and beautiful. The coupe travelled with a small group of friends and family all the way from England. That wedding shows you don’t need much planning, just a nice spot for the wedding ceremony and a quiet place to stay. For accommodation, they choose The Dell of Rothiemurchus, a lodge which can accommodate up to 24 guests. Perfect for families and friends with a large, lovely garden, located in the pocket of Rothiemurchus, away from the busy town centre of Aviemore.
Ceremony Spot – Loch an Eilein
Cairngorms Intimate Wedding at Loch an Eilein was only 5 minutes drive from the lodge. Then, about 10 minutes walk in the beautiful forest of Rothiemurchus from the car park to the ceremony spot by old castle ruins.
Back in mid-September, the day started with a blue, spotless sky. A warm afternoon with early Autumn sun rays piercing tree crowns in the forest of Rothiemurchus. This place is beautiful, and from what I was told by the park ranger, the most beloved place in the UK by the locals and tourists. It is a bit of Scotland’s hidden gem indeed. Rothiemurchus itself has a great location, only 30 minutes walk to Aviemore. In a town that is rich in cafes, restaurants, pubs and local stories you can get food and supplies.
Cairngorms Intimate Wedding Ceremony itself was so badass! Tanya O’Brien, local Assistant Registrar from Aviemore was absolutely lovely to work with her. Step by step, she leads couples and guests in a fun-loving manner. I loved how everyone was involved in the wedding. The groom’s son was carrying wedding rings, the love was in the air and the laughter plus that special connection with nature. A perfect wedding day!
