Kelburn Castle and Estate is one of my favourite castles in Scotland. Located on the West Coast, North Ayrshire near Largs is only under an hour drive from Glasgow.
The Castle, with its rich heritage and old interiors decorated with paintings and large vintage windows, is every wedding photographer’s dream. Kelburn Castle has a distinctive look that the Graffiti project makes. That historic blend of styles and periods makes the castle stand out from the other Castle Wedding Venues in Scotland.
The walled garden, conveniently located by the castle, contains 1000-year-old yew trees. The most remarkable is the Weeping Larch. Although not that old, spreads its branches over a large part of the walled garden. I can’t imagine a better spot for the wedding ceremony.
The large grounds of the Kelburn Estate with highlights like sauna, yurts accommodation, old trees, waterfall, walled garden, to mention just a few. Last but not least, the reception venue bungalow near the main car park makes a perfect canvas for a big wedding day with a larger group of wedding guests. With a view over the idyllic grass field and Marina Bay in the distance that feels more like a relaxed barn venue where you can relax and enjoy the meal and dances till late at night.
Dundas Castle
