Cardney Steading Wedding Venue 4-point Retrospection

Cardney Steading Wedding Venue: A Hidden Gem in Perthshire

Cardney Steading Wedding Venue is fairly fresh on the wedding industry market. The venue is located in the countryside area within a 5-minute drive to Dunkeld, with great views over the highland mountains. Before I get to the details, here are some written words from the Cardney itself: “Cardney Steading is a rural wedding venue in Scotland, where you’re invited to enjoy our estate and farm and everything it has to offer” In Cardney Steading Wedding Venue review I’ll break down the article into 4 sections: accommodation, ceremony options, main venue facilities and area surroundings.

1. The Venue Accommodation

The biggest accommodation space is called Middle Cardney, only a few minute’s walking distance from the main menu. Makes a perfect place for the groom and groomsmen’s party preparation.

Right beside, just a few steps from the Middle Cardney, a cute cabin for two called Couple Lodge takes place. It’s a perfect space for the bride to get ready for the ceremony. The third cottage called Craigmore can accommodate 6 more persons. There’s no sleeping facility for the rest of the wedding guests, however as mentioned earlier, Cardney Steading Wedding Venue is strategically located within an easy, short drive from Dunkeld where there is plenty of overnight stays to book in advance.

2. Ceremony Options

Close to the main facilities of Cardney, two beautiful outdoor spots are placed for the ultimate ceremony experience. Lochside Wedding and Woodland Wedding space. On hot, sunny days I’d recommend woodlands for shade and a nice breeze from the trees. Both spots are equally fantastic and it’s really up to the couple, what their preferences are.

3. The Venue

Cardney Steading Wedding Venue contains a few areas for wedding celebrations with true barn vibes. The Old Mill for the speeches and dinner, and The Cattle Shed for late celebrations and dances. Either can be a wedding ceremony place if the weather won’t allow us to perform the most important part of the day outdoors. Middle-located Double Barrel Bar and Courtyard are great places to chill, have a drink and enjoy being outdoors. Last but not least, The Fire Pit is the cherry on top of the cake. Wedding guests can enjoy bone fire and marshmallows. The remaining facilities are a handy cloakroom and stylish toilets and The Lodge, a social space with a dining table.

4. Embrace your wedding day adventure with the surrounding nature

Cardney Steading Wedding Venue is surrounded by breathtaking views and natural woodlands and lochs. The couple can jump into Land Rover and explore the area a little bit more. Becki (the bride) and Nick (the groom) planned on their wedding day something special. We drove after the ceremony off-road to the remote Loch Cardney for the secret handfasting. The couple left this Scottish tradition just for themselves.

To summarise, Cardney Steading Wedding Venue has a lot of potential. It’s for the getting married couples good at planning and DIY details for their wedding. It’s a true barn experience, for those who seeking a connection with nature and the great outdoors. It’s actually one of my favourite barn-vibe venues.
