The Real Wedding of Zoe & Tom
Zoe and Tom’s Wedding at Harburn Barn was the most laid-back, relaxed wedding I had the privilege to witness and document with my camera. It was a special, low-key day amongst the closest family and friends. Zoe and Tom tailored their special wedding at Harburn Barn from the music to rustic, unique style decor and one-of-a-kind wedding dress handcrafted by Zoe herself. Lovely sunflower wedding bouquets were a perfect match to the rustic, barn, summertime wedding day.
The Morning at Harburn House
A unique feature of the wedding at Harburn Barn is the nearby Haymains house. This stunning mansion is available for private hire and can be used as a luxurious make-up and hair preparation space for the bride and bridesmaids on the wedding day. Whether you’re looking for a place to host your rehearsal dinner or want to capture some stunning bridal portraits in its bright, window-light spacious rooms,
Harburn House adds an extra layer of elegance to your wedding experience. Zoe’s makeup and hair were done by the talented Makeup by Sarabel. While Zoe and the bridesmaids were getting ready at the house, Tom nervously was checking the last details, greeting coming to the estate wedding guests and making sure all was set according to the plan.
The Ceremony
Zoe and Tom opted out for the indoor ceremony, in a round back-wing of the barn. The acoustic was fantastic for the cello and violin, beautifully performed by the close family member and her partner. A truly touching and beautiful ceremony Wedding at Harburn Barn conducted by Suzanne Grant. The Scottish tradition Quaich, when the just-married couple tastes a bitter drink (usually whisky) from the same cup was followed by the touching poem and speech from Zoe and Tom’s closest friends. The tear-jerk wedding ceremony ended with “The Book of Love” by Peter Gabriel on violin and cello.
