Glenapp Castle
Glenapp Castle is a true gem of Ayrshire Wedding Venues, situated in the far south and located a few miles off the A77 main road. A single-file local road through impressive woodland leads to Glenapp Castle.
This five-star luxury hotel, known for its fantastic food and Michelin Guide recognition, is well known for its hospitality and friendly staff. Scots generally are known for their warmth and hospitality, and Glenapp Castle is no exception. From venue staff to florists, caterers, and beyond, the people you work with during your wedding will make sure your day feels personal and stress-free. Without them, magic wouldn’t happen.
The rest of the Glenapp Estate and surroundings are no less impressive and wonderful than the castle’s interiors. The walled garden with its large glasshouse, a small loch below the castle, surrounded by old trees. All of that creates the magic of your wedding day.
Brig o’Doon
Bing o’Doom House Hotel is a shining gem of a wedding venue among Ayrshire Wedding Venues. The bridge by the hotel has a rich heritage dating back to medieval times and is a thing of beauty. The history of the Brig o’Doon Hotel begins in 1829, the year the hotel was built.
The Brig o’Doon venue is located in the centre of Ayrshire, just on the edge of Ayr town. It has one great advantage. The accommodation is hassle-free and straightforward. Kirkgate House, a large mansion located near the venue, would be perfect for Bridal Preparations. This luxurious property is the perfect space to enjoy a special getaway with family & friends.
If you need more accommodation, book private, luxury guest houses across the street and hotel rooms, even for a large group of wedding guests. Easy access to all facilities, such as shops and petrol stations, in Ayr is also beneficial. This Ayrshire Wedding Venue has an impressive hall for the wedding ceremony downstairs and large reception rooms with a balcony upstairs that guests and the couple can enjoy on a nice day.
Kelburn Estate
Kelburn Castle is one of my favourite wedding venues, not only in Ayrshire but in Scotland. The venue is located on the West Coast, North Ayrshire, near Largs. Kelburn Castle, with its old interiors decorated with paintings and large vintage windows, is every wedding photographer’s dream. Kelburn Castle’s outdoor walls have a distinctive look that the Graffiti project adds. Diversity in Castle’s look and historic blend of styles and periods makes the castle stand out from other Castle Wedding Venues in Scotland.
A large area of the Kelburn Estate has many quirky places and attractions. Yurts, among the old trees. It’s a lovely, peaceful part of the estate, away from the Kelburn visitors. The view from there is great too, over the nearby marina and the Firth of Clyde and its islands on a clear day. Walled garden with magnificent 180-year-old Larch. A perfect spot for the Kelburn Castle Wedding ceremony. Worth mentioning is also a nice waterfall, a great spot for a photography session.
Kelburn Estate’s wedding reception – a large pavilion that can comfortably accommodate up to 100 wedding guests, located at the entrance to Kelburn Estate. This blank canvas space turned into a relaxed, barn wedding-day vibe with outdoor catering featuring fresh food.
