Gothic Elopement Wedding in the Highlands – Ivy & Daniel

Gothic Elopement Wedding – Ivy & Daniel’s Alternative Day

When you plan an elopement, the ideas and ways you like to spend your wedding days are endless. Ivy and Daniel’s elopement wedding day was certainly something else. It was quirky, a little dark, and very romantic. It was an alternative and gothic-inspired elopement at St. Mary’s Wedding Space.

Ivy and Daniel knew what their elopement wedding should be like from the start of planning. From the jaw-dropping black goth wedding dress to “Till Death Do Us Part” chocolate skull and body parts instead of cake. These are distinguishing details that are so different from the usual wedding day.

Between Life and Death – Goth Style Ceremony

The gothic Elopement Wedding Ceremony of Ivy and Daniel was beautiful and emotional. Those two perfectly matched souls get married in the beautiful spot between the trees, a small woodland area just by the St Mary’s Wedding Space. The late September day was very hot and sunny. We did not expect such a sunny heatwave on the usual day in the Scottish Highlands for the Gothic Elopement Wedding. A beautiful elopement ceremony filled with laughter and tears was a mixture of goth decoration with ceremony elements – tear-jerking vows and traditional Scottish hand-fasting.

Celebration of the Gothic Elopement Wedding

We hid in the woodland. The trees gave us a little shelter from the heat of an early Autumn day in the Scottish Highlands. Tasting fine Scottish Whisky in St. Mary’s Sitooterie. A day filled with laughter and love stories. And we ate chocolate brains and tasty chocolate fingers. It was just a perfect, hot autumn elopement day.
